The Real Roots of Youth Violence
In this episode, the SOLVE team travel to Dublin to continue their work in partnership with Ballymun Drugs and Alcohol Task Force.
Across the trip, CEO Craig Pinkney delivers training focused on serious youth violence, violence reduction and public health approaches to understanding and responding to harm.
Part 1 captures the start of the journey, from preparation through to day one on the ground, including time spent with practitioners across Dublin.
This visit also brings things full circle, as Craig reconnects with frontline workers he first met over 13 years ago, including members of the Easystreet outreach team, highlighting the consistency and commitment of those working directly with young people in the community.
Another Day in the Life. This episode captures two powerful days of conversation, learning and frontline practice.
From sitting down with Marial Machar during his Winston Churchill Fellowship visit from South Australia, unpacking violence prevention and public health approaches, to delivering on the Rise Up programme alongside Power The Fight and London Youth. It’s always powerful when knowledge travels across borders and practice speaks for itself.
Day in the Life – Episode 16 offers a glimpse into the work, partnerships and conversations shaping violence prevention and youth work practice. Watch, like and subscribe for more insights from the SOLVE team.
The SOLVE way 🌍
It’s been a while since we last dropped a Day in the Life episode. We’ve been quieter online, but behind the scenes we’ve been busy. New programmes, new partnerships, and work taking place across the country. This episode brings things up to speed and gives a snapshot of the spaces, conversations and projects we’ve been involved in recently.
The 'Alternative Routes' Team took to Dublin to empower & educate the professionals and young people of Dublin.
Welcome to our latest video featuring Dr. Lizzie Fitzmaurice, one of the country’s leading experts in her field. In this session, Dr. Lizzie leads us through ‘Therapeutic Approaches to Working with Children and Young People,’ offering invaluable insights and methods she brings to SOLVE’s training programs.
